copy
Copy one file to another location. Dell Networking OS supports IPv4 and IPv6 addressing for FTP, TFTP,
and SCP (in the hostip field).

Syntax
copy compressed-config source-filename destination-filename
From a PE console, use copy flash: [source-filename destination-
filename] | usbflash: [source-filename destination-filename]
Parameters
Enter the following location keywords and information:
compressed-
config
Enter the keyword compressed-config to copy one file,
after optimizing and reducing the size of the configuration
file, to another location. Dell Networking OS supports IPv4
and IPv6 addressing for FTP, TFTP, and SCP (in the hostip
field).
file-name
To copy a file
from the internal
FLASH
enter flash:// and then the
filename
To copy a file on
an FTP server
enter ftp://
user:password@hostip/
filepath
To copy a file on
an HTTP server
enter http: http://hostip/
filepath
To copy a file on
a NFS-mounted
system
enter nfsmount://<mount-
point/filepath
NOTE: While switching to a
remote NFS file system, it is
mandatory to specify the mount-
point that indicates the working
directory on the NFS file system.
You cannot enter the root
directory of the remote NFS file
system.
To copy the
running
configuration
enter the keyword running-
config
To copy the
startup
configuration
enter the keyword startup-
