7.6.1.0 Introduced on the E-Series.
Usage Information
When an NSF-capable router comes up, it announces the graceful restart capability and restart duration as a
Hello option. The receiving router notes the Hello option. Routers not NSF-capable discard the unknown
Hello option and adjacency is not affected.
When an NSF-capable router goes down, the neighboring PIM speaker preserves the states and continues the
forwarding of multicast traffic while the neighbor router restarts.
ip pim join-filter
Permit or deny PIM Join/Prune messages on an interface using an extended IP access list. This command prevents the PIM-SM router
from creating state based on multicast source and/or group.
