Commands
show interfaces — displays information on a specific physical interface or virtual
interface.
show interfaces switchport
Display only virtual and physical interfaces in Layer 2 mode. This command displays the Layer 2 mode
interfaces’ IEEE 802.1Q tag status and VLAN membership.

Syntax
show interfaces switchport [interface] [linecard slot-id]
Parameters
interface (OPTIONAL) Enter one of the following keywords and slot/
port or number information:
For a Port Channel interface, enter the keywords port-
channel then a number. The range is from 1 to 128.
For a 10-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
TenGigabitEthernet then the slot/port (ports or port-
range) information.
For a 40-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
fortyGigE then the slot/port (ports or port-range)
information.
Enter the keyword backup to view the backup interface
for this interface.
For a port extender Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the
keyword peGigE then the pe-id / stack-unit / port-id
information. The pe-id range is from 0 to 255; the stack-
unit unit-number range is from 0 to 7; and the port-id
range is from 1 to 48.
NOTE: The peGigE interface option is only visible when
the feature extended bridge is enabled.
