7. Shutthesystemoff.TheconnectionLEDontheNICandswitchorhubwill
remainonindicatingtheNICis
monitoringthenetworkforwakeuppackets
directedtoitsMACaddress.
8. SendawakeupsignaltotheMACaddressoftheWOLenabledNIC,andthe
systemwillboot.
Note:IfthesystembootisinterruptedbeforetheOSandtheNICdriverareloaded,the
system
willnotbeabletoperformWOLagainuntilthesystemisrebootedmanuallyand
theOSanddriverareallowedtoloadandresettheNIC’sWOLregisters.
