12 Major differences between versions 1.1 and 1.0
The major differences between the two versions are:
• Dell Backup and Recovery Manager V1.1 adds support for Windows Vista 64-
bit, and Microsoft Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems. V1.0 only
supported Windows XP SP3 32-bit and Microsoft Windows Vista SP1 32-bit.
Windows XP 64-bit is not supported in either version.
• V1.1 can restore an image from a bootable backup to an unformatted hard
drive. V1.0 did not support unformatted hard drives.
• When pressing F8 during boot on a system with Windows XP installed, the
Windows Boot Manager screen no longer displays the operating system name
as Windows Vista. This was a cosmetic issue in V1.0 that is fixed in V1.1.
• Minor screen formatting issues and localization issues have been corrected in
V1.1.
