Prerequisites

1. Remove the left-side cover.

2. Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 4 in "Removing the power-supply unit".

Procedure

1. Locate the password jumper (P215) on the system board.

For information on the location of the Password jumper, see

System-board components.

2. Remove the jumper plug from pins 215.

3. Follow the procedure from step 8 to step 9 in "

Replacing the power-supply unit".

4. Replace the left-side cover.

5. Turn on your computer and wait until the operating system is completely loaded.

6. Shut down your computer.

7. Remove the

left-side cover.

8. Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 3 in "Removing the power-supply unit".

9. Replace the jumper plug on pins 215.

2. Replace the

left-side cover.
