Removing the processor
Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in
Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the base cover.
3. Remove the
battery.
4. Remove the
wireless card.
5. Remove the solid-state drive from M.2 slot one.
6. Remove the rear-I/O cover.
7. Remove the computer base.
8. Remove the
heat-sink assembly.

Steps
1. Push down on the lever on the processor cover and move it away from the processor.
2. Pull the lever back to open the processor cover.
3. Lift the processor straight up to remove it from the system board.
