Removing the processor

Prerequisites
1 Remove the stability foot.
2 Remove the left and right side-panels. See “Removing the side panels”.
3 Remove the processor liquid-cooling assembly.
Procedure
WARNING: The processor might still be hot after the computer is shut
down. Allow the processor to cool down before removing it.
1 In the order as indicated on the processor shield (3,2,1), loosen the captive
screws that secure the processor shield to the system board.
2 Open the processor shield.
3 Press down and push the left-release lever and right-release lever away from
the processor cover to release it from the securing tab.
