Configuring Networks
This section discusses configuring networks required for Orchestration and end-to-end
configuration. The various networks have to be configured prior to executing an
orchestration:
• Accessing the Network Configuration Setup
• Configuring the Networks
• Configuring Default Server Templates
Accessing the Network Configuration Setup
The network configuration setup can be accessed from the Tools->Discovery->Networking
as shown in the below picture.
This will open a new page, where the new networks can be configured and default networks
can be modified.
Configuring the Networks
AS 1000 come with 6 different types of networks already added. These networks have to be
modified as per the environment in which the AS 1000 being used. The below sections
describes configuring the same.
NOTE: Keep in mind, you must modify the VLAN ID for the iSCSI network, even if it is not
being used, to a VLAN ID other than 1.
For more information about networks, see the Active System Manager 7.1 User Guide Chapter
10, "Network Management".
Configuring an existing Network
In order to configure any network, select the network that needs to be configured, then the
list of existing networks that are part of this network category are opened as shown below.
Network Setup Wizard Figure 3.
From the list of pre-configured networks, select the network that needs to be modified and
press the edit button. This opens a new Window where the network parameters like vlan id,
