Issue [ASM-1463]: If you select ESXi 5.5 operating system to deploy Compellent FC storage component,
the service cannot be deployed.
Description: Currently, ASM supports Compellent 6.3 and ESXi 5.5, but officially ESXi 5.5 support is
provided for Compellent 6.4. While creating Compellent components for ESXi 5.5, you must select ESXi
5.1. If you select ESXi 5.5, service cannot be deployed. After selecting ESXi 5.1 for the storage
component, the Compellent server objects are created using ESXi 5.1. The settings for ESXi 5.1 and ESXi
5.5 are functionally the same, and the deployment works.
Resolution/Workaround: If you want to deploy a Compellent storage component using ESXi 5.5, in the
Template Builder page, select VMware ESXi 5.1 from the Operating System Name drop-down list for
the storage component.
Issue: [ASM-1588] Unable to deploy RHEL OS to bare-metal Cisco UCS server.
Description: An error occurs if you deploy RHEL OS on bare-metal Cisco UCS server because the
deployment looking for Dell service tag.
Resolution/Workaround: An update is required to prevent Cisco deployment from looking for a Dell
service tag.
Issue: [ASM-1586] Unable to create a server pool for Cisco UCS servers
Description: When you create a server pool with Cisco UCS blade, the blades that are discovered in
Active System Manager (ASM) do no display the list of servers to add to the server pool in the Add
Servers page of the Create Server Pool dialog box.
Resolution/Workaround: You can add the Cisco UCS servers only to the global pool.
Issue: [ASM-1584] In the Service Details page, the time stamp displayed for a service deployment is
incorrect.
Description: In the Service Details page, the time stamps displayed under Recent Activity
are incorrect
even if NTP and time zone on the ASM virtual appliance are configured appropriately. However, the
Dashboard displays the actual time stamps under Recent Activity.
Resolution/Workaround: For the actual time stamps, see the Dashboard.
Issue: [ASM-1579] The Host Group drop-down for the Cluster component is not updated after re-running
the inventory for the SCVMM.
Description: After running the inventory for an SCVMM server, go to a template and create a cluster
component. The Host Group drop-down lists the new host groups and host groups, which are deleted
from SCVMM.
Resolution/Workaround: Make sure that stale host group entries are not selected during deployment.
Even if it is selected, the deployment will be successful. However, new host groups will be created.
