Verifying Replication
1. On the domain controller, click StartAdministrative ToolsActive Directory Users and Computers
2. Expand the domain name and click Users.
3. In the right pane, confirm that there are nine CS groups (shown below) within the Users to verify that the
replication of the Forest Preparation was successful.

Prepping the current domain
1. Back on the Active Directory Preparation window, click Run for Step 5: Prep Current Domain.
2. Click Next on the Wizard welcome window.
3. Click Finish.
Providing administrative access to the Lync Server Control Panel
1. Click StartAdministrative ToolsActive Directory Users and Computers.
2. Expand Forest, and select Users.
3. Right-click CSAdministrator, and select Properties.
4. Select the Members tab and add user from Domain that needs rights to make changes on the Lync Server. (i.e.,
administrator). Click OK.
5. Click OK and close the window.
Modifying password complexity
1. Click StartRun.
2. Type gpmc.msc and click OK.
3. Expand the Forest and Domain Tabs.
4. Click your domain.
5. In the right pane, under the Linked Group Policy Objects, right-click the Default Domain Policy, and click Edit.
6. Expand PoliciesWindows SettingsSecurity Settings, and click Account Policies.
7. Right-click Password Policy, and click Open.
8. Right-click Password must meet complexity requirements, and click Properties.
9. Change the properties to Disabled, and click OK.
10. Close the Management Editor.
