Installation guide

Cluster Ready Services are now installed, and you are ready to install Oracle10g soware.
Install Oracle Database Soware
Whether you are installing Oracle9i or Oracle10g, compleon of the Cluster Soware installaon step makes it possible to perform
an Oracle database soware installaon that is RAC enabled. Since Cluster Services are started by default at the end of Cluster
Soware installaon, the OUI will be aware of all cluster nodes. As menoned above, the OUI is capable of performing a “push”
installaon of Oracle database soware to all nodes simultaneously. This works well for Oracle10g for any number of nodes.
However, occasional problems have been noted when installing to three or more nodes with Oracle9i. For this reason, instrucons
for installing to individual nodes as well as to mulple nodes are included for Oracle9i.
Installing Oracle9i Database Soware
Installing Oracle9i database soware consists of several steps:
1. Install the base Oracle 9.2.0.1 soware version.
2. Install the10g version of the OUI (this is necessary for installing the 9.2.0.5 patch).
3. Install the Oracle 9.2.0.5 patch.
4. Perform remaining Clusterware patch steps.
5. Edit the Registry to x the CM Service Priority
