6.6.3.6.2 CPU Package Configuration Write
The CPU Package Config Write command allows the setting of power control data. For
the parameter byte formats, refer to the
Intel Xeon Processor Family External Design
Specification (EDS) Volume 1. Figure 2-36 in the EDS shows the format of the data
word to effect writing the limits and the time windows. The index referenced below can
be correlated to figure 2-36 as SMC-PL0 ==> RAPL-PL2 & SMC-PL1 ==> RAPL-PL1.
6.6.3.6.3 Set SM Signal
The Set SM Signal command gives you control of firmware signals. The primary use of
this command is to set the status LED into identify mode. In identify mode the status
LED flashes on for a short period twice every 2 seconds. This allows an administrator to
locate the card in a system that has multiple cards.
