Installing the SMA antenna—Location 3
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
The following image indicates the location of the SMA antenna and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
1. Route the location1 and location 2 internal antenna cables through the securing clip on the chassis.
2. Connect the antenna cables to the wireless card.
3. Place the wireless-card bracket to secure the antenna cables.
4. Align the notch on the wireless card with the tab on the wireless-card slot. Insert the wireless card into the connector on the
system board.
5. Replace the (M2x3.5) screw to secure the wireless-card bracket to the wireless card.
6. Align and place the wireless-card shield on the wireless card.
7. Replace the single (M2x3.5) screw to secure the wireless-card shield to the system board.
