96 Understanding the Tool Box Menus
The discharge phenomenon for charging the photo conductor varies with
barometric pressure. Adjustments are performed by specifying the altitude of
the location where the printer is being used.
NOTE: An incorrect altitude adjustment setting leads to poor printing quality,
incorrect indication of remaining toner.

Reset Defaults
Purpose:
To initialize NVM (non-volatile memory) for system parameters. After
executing this function and rebooting the printer, all the menu parameters are
reset to their default values.
For details, see "Resetting Defaults" on page 100.
Val ue s:
Non-Dell Toner
Purpose:
To use toner cartridge of another manufacturer.
0 meter* Specifies the altitude of the location where the printer
is installed.
1000 meters
2000 meters
3000 meters
Apply New Settings After you complete the settings, press the Apply New
Settings button to apply the changes.
Restart printer to apply new
settings
Press the Restart printer to apply new settings button
to apply the changes.
Start Click to initialize the system parameters.
