Starng the Engine
DANGER: Exhaust contains poisonous carbon
monoxide, a colorless and odorless gas. Breathing
exhaust can cause loss of consciousness and may lead
to death. Do not operate the engine in a confined
space where dangerous carbon monoxide fumes can
collect.
Starng the Engine Using the Recoil Start
NOTE:Besuretoaddfreshunleadedgasoline andleave
agapforexpansionandfilltheenginewithSAE5‐W30
motoroil (1.2—1.5 quarts) beforestarngyoursnow
blower.Checkengineoilbeforeeachuse.
1. Makesurethesafetykey isfullyinsertedinorder
fortheengine
tostart.Removethekeywhenthe
snowblowerisnotinuse.
2. Firmlypushtheprimertoforcethefueldirectly
intotheengine’scarburetor.Pushtwotothree
mesdependingonthetemperature.Note:Donot
presstheprimerbulbmorethan5mes.Fuelmay
leak
fromthecarburetorwithoverpriming.
3. MakesurethechokeissetintheCHOKE1posion
(chokemoreincoldertemperatures).
4. Pulltherecoiltostarttheengine.
5. Aertheengineisstarted,slowlyturnthechokeup
onelevelatameastheenginewarmsupunlitis
atthemaximumlevelor“RUNLEVEL.”
Beforeaempngtouseyoursnowblower,makesureyou
arefamiliarwithallofthecomponentsandhavereadthe
manual.

Electric Start
1. Useasafe,nondamaged
powercordtoplugintotheelectricstartoutlet.
2. Makesurethesafetykey isfullyinsertedinorder
fortheenginetostart.Removethekeywhenthe
snowblowerisnotinuse.
3. Firmlypushtheprimertoforce
thefueldirectly
intotheengine’scarburetor.Pushtwotothree
mesdependingonthetemperature.Note:Donot
presstheprimerbulbmorethan5mes.Fuelmay
leakfromthecarburetorwithoverpriming.
4. MakesurethechokeissetintheCHOKEposion
(chokemore
incoldertemperatures).
5. Presstheelectricstartbuon.Note:Donotengage
startermorethan10secondseachme.
6. Aertheengineisstarted,slowlyturnthechokeup
onelevelatameastheenginewarmsupunlitis
atthemaximumlevelor“RUNLEVEL.”
7. Unplugtheextensioncordbeforeoperangthe
Thoroughlyinspecttheareawhereyouplanto
usethe
snowblower.Lookforitemssuchasstones,scks,
wire,andotherforeignobjects.Ifstruckbythesnow
blower,theseandotherobjectsmaybecome
projeclesthatcouldleadtoseriousinjuryordeath.
Clearareaofalldebris.Keeppeopleandpetsata
safe
distance.

operateon120voltAChouseholdcurrent.Useonlya
UL‐listed,16gaugeextensioncordforoutdoorusethatis
nolongerthan50feet(15meters).
Topreventdamagingtheelectric
starterwait20secondsbetween
everyelectricstartaemptand
neveruseelectricstartintherain.
Do NOT over‐prime the engine. Pressing the
primer bulb more than 3x could result in flooding
the carburetor making the engine hard to start or
cause fuel to leak from the carburetor inlet.
