Engine Idle Shutdown (63T)

Stroke turbo diesel engines but is not required since
the 6.7L engine meets all California emissions states
emissions requirements. Some customers may still
want this option to take advantage of any associated
fuel efficiency or maintenance benefits.

Engine Idle Shutdown Operation
• Afterapredeterminedperiod,theenginePowertrain
Control Module automatically shuts down the engine
and triggers the accessory module to shut down
powertotheaccessoriestominimizebatterydrain
• Primarilyhelpsreducedieselfuelconsumptionand
diesel exhaust emissions
• Alsohelpsimproveoverallfueleconomyandreduce
operating and maintenance costs
– A diesel engine idling for an hour uses as much fuel
as if the vehicle had been driven 7 miles, on average
– And when it comes to maintenance, that same
engine idling for an hour causes as much wear as if
the vehicle had been driven 25 miles

15,000 miles
– Mixing any other traditional engine coolants will
greatly reduce the operating characteristics of
the OAT engine coolant or may cause engine
damagewhichcouldjeopardizeprovisionsof
the engine warranty
Intelligent Oil Life Monitor

service intervals based on vehicle use as well as a
number of other vehicle operating parameters
