Tools Required: 1 Place the bulb-seal gasket (B) onto the back clip of the FX running board (A) and press it firmly into place. Cut the bulb-seal gasket so that it is flush with the end of the guardian board (A).
2 Place three ¼” x ¾” slotted hex head bolts (G) into each channel on the bottom of the FX running board (A) as shown below. B A G 3 Place fx endcap (D) ont the end of fx running board (A) as shown. Secure into place using ¼” x 1” phillips round head screws (R). Tighten into place using a phillips head screwdriver.
4 Place FX mudflap (C) onto the front of FX running board (A) as shown below. Secure into place using a ¼” x 1” sheet metal screw (P). Tighten into place using a 3/8” wrench / or socket.
5 Locate the existing hole locations shown below. There will be three sets of hole locations (Front, Middle, Rear). Place an 8mm U-clip (O) into the rear hole location as shown below.
6 Place an 8mm U-clip (O) onto the rocker panel bracket (E) as shown below. 7a 7a-Place the rocker panel bracket up to the 8mm U-clips installed into the rocker panel and secure into place using the 8mm X 25mm hex flange bolts (N). Secure the bottom of the rocker panel bracket to the bottom of the rocker panel using 8mm x 25mm hex flange bolts (N). Tighten into place using a 13mm wrench / or socket.
8 Place fx board assembly (A) up to rocker panel brackets (E) as shown below. Secure into place using 3/8” x 1” hex head bolts (J), 3/8” flat washers (K), 3/8” lock washers (M), and 3/8” hex nuts (L) as shown below. Note: See bottom pictures for correct holes placement.
9 Place running board (A) onto the brackets. Align ¼” x ¾” slotted hex head bolts in the bottom of the running board (A) with holes in the brackets. Secure board into palce using ¼” flat washers (H) and ¼” hex nuts (I).
10 Using the pictures below as a guide, first drill three 1/8” holes through the mudflap on the running board and the sheet metal in the wheel opening of the vehicle. Secure the mudflap to the sheetmetal of the wheel well opening using #10 x 5/8” phillips head screws (Q) as shown in step 11 of this instruction. Tighten until snug using a phillips head screw driver. Now drill a 1/8” hole through the bottom of the mudflap and the fx running board as shown below.
