Accelerometer
The unit is tted with a 3-axis accelerometer for measuring Acceleration/Braking, Turning Forces and
Vertical Shock (speed bumps, kerb strikes etc.)
Max G Setting Select from 2g or 8g (default setting is 2g).
Apply Orientatiion Enable orientation settings (entered below).
G-Events Type Select to either log ‘Simple’ G-Event data or to trigger an alarm zone
by selecting ‘Zone’.
Base Facing Select where the base of the unit is position i.e. if the unit’s base is
facing the oor, select ‘Down’.
G-Event Download Select to auto download G-Event data depending on the criteria
selected in the ‘G-Event Type’ option.
Connector Facing Select which direction the units connection ports are facing.
Direction Nominates the direction of detection.
On Enable or disable the feature on this input.
Threshold The limit above which the force in question will need to exceed to
trigger any one event, refer to individual descriptions for typical
gures..
Trigger Zone If G-Event Type is set to ‘Simple’, the entry in the associated text box
will be written to the log. If G-Event Type is set to ‘Zone’, the Zone
action associated with the selected alarm zone will be triggered.
Deceleration Enter the g limit for a deceleration event to be logged. For example an
emergency stop will register approx 0.7g plus.
Acceleration Enter the g limit for a acceleration event to be logged. For example a
fast saloon car may register approx 0.5g.
