3. Allocate the formatted and mounted storage for video storage

by clicking on the ‘Allocate’ button. Allocation takes between a

few seconds and a few minutes, depending on the size of the

drive, and the Feedback column will display information about

the allocation process. The unit will require a Reset once

allocation is complete.

Note: The unit application drive is protected, if it is allocated the unit will only remove the video

folder. Formatting any other device will remove all data. In either case recording on the

system is halted while formatting and, if already allocated, the formatted device will be de-

allocated as a video storage device
