TransVu Express
To install the web pages:
1) Open FTP and telnet/serial sessions as above;
2) At the debug prompt type < devcopy a:\web.zip \ash\web.zip >
3) Uploading to ash memory takes several seconds If the process is successful, a
message on screen will conrm success.
4) Erase the le ‘web.zip’ from the a: drive.
Record and Power Management Modes
TransVu Express can be congured with certain parameters at build time.
Record Mode
There are two methods of recording with the TransVu Express, PAR le recording or AVI le
recording. A new system always defaults to PAR le recording.
PAR Recording
This is the conventional recording mode. When the unit is congured in this way, video is stored in
PAR format organised into video partitions.
AVI Recording
Video is recorded to AVI les.
To revert to PAR les;
If the TransVu Express was set up to record using AVI it can be reset to record with PAR les.
1) Open FTP and telnet/serial sessions as detailed above;
2) At the debug prompt type < <setlock 00000000>
3) Re-format the disk using <FDISK>
Note: It is essential that disks are re-formatted when changing record methods
To revert to AVI les:
If the TransVu Express was set up to record using AVI it can be reset to record with PAR les.
1) Open FTP and telnet/serial sessions as detailed above;
2) At the debug prompt type <setlock 125869A8>
3) Re-format the disk using <FDISK>
Note: It is essential that disks are re-formatted when changing record methods.
Power Management Mode
A new system congured for either PAR or AVI recording will power up regardless of the status of
the Ignition Sense input and Power Management Enable checkbox in the web pages.
Boot on Ignition
The ignition line controls boot up and safe shutdown (when enabled in web pages).
Record on Ignition
The ignition line controls record start/stop.
To congure PAR le systems for ignition control:
1) Open FTP and telnet/serial sessions as detailed above;
2) At the debug prompt type <avr_set FE>
3) The status can be conrmed by entering: <avr_ver> which will return the power
management version number followed by FE.
Power management can now be enabled or disabled via the web pages.
To congure AVI le systems to use Ignition Sense status to start/stop recording:
Note: The AVI le system will start regardless of the Ignition Sense status
