Vehicle Control
The Vehicle Control menu allows recorded vehicle number plates to be compared to the information
held in the database (uploaded via the ANPR Plate DB menu). When interrogating the database, the
ANPR software will search for keywords (congured here). If a keyword is associated to a recorded
number plate, an alarm response can be initiated and a screen alert displayed.
IMPORTANT: For this option to function correctly, the ‘Enable Keyword’ function must be enabled
on the Dedicated Micros DVR. Navigate to the ‘System Settings->Features’ menu
and ensure the ‘Text In Image’ option is selected. Navigate to the ‘Analytics & Text-
>Text In Image’ menu and set the Enable Keywords option to ‘Enable’.
Camera Select the relevant camera channel for conguration.
Pre Alarm (secs)
When creating a record in the event database, the Pre Alarm setting will
include recorded images prior to the point of activation (for the time period
entered here). DM recommend a setting of 2-3 seconds.
Primary Camera This is the Primary camera. In normal circumstances it will be the
camera channel being congured
Secondary Camera This is the assigned Secondary camera. This may give an overview of
the area were the ANPR camera reads passing number plates i.e. a
gatehouse.
Note: The Dedicated Micros ANPR camera has an in-built overview camera facility. This will give
a full view of the car being analysed.
