Tripwire
Tripwire is used to dene a virtual line within the camera view where an alert can be generated if
an object is detected crossing the line. The Tripwire can also count the number of activations and
perform actions based on the count rule. This could be when a set amount of people have entered /
exited an area. Additionally, a calculated balance of In and Out triggers can be used to trigger alarm
when a maximum total number of people are on one side of the tripwire.
An AnalyticsCapable license enables this feature for all connected analogue cameras.
Up to 16 tripwires can be specied per camera within the view
The Camera Options will congure settings for the camera. Region Options affect only the region
(detection area) currently being congured.
To size and position the Tripwire, use the mouse to click, drag and release the selection points at
either end of the tripwire. Note the Direction arrow, a tripwire can raise an alarm depending on which
direction an object travels across it.
The shaded area denotes the tolerance zone. For an object to register as having crossed the
tripwire, it must be deemed to have entered and exited this tolerance zone. To change the size of
the zone, use the mouse to click, drag and release the centre selection point.

Noise Tolerance
This sets the background ‘noise’ level which the camera will ignore. Setting
the noise tolerance level too low could result in a false alarm. Dedicated
Micros recommend that a well maintained camera viewing an adequately
illuminated scene should be set at ‘8’.
