®
Deck & Wood Cleaner Part 1 is an oxygenated powder concentrate cleaner
for weathered wood and hardwoods. Use on decking, outdoor wood furniture, wood siding and fencing.
DESCRIPTION AND USES
Once blended with water, Deck & Wood Cleaner Part 1 rapidly and
safely restores dirty, weathered-gray, mildew and mold-stained
wood, hardwood decking and siding to its vibrant, all-natural, like-
new look. In only minutes, its special, oxygen-powered foaming
action intensely cleans and takes away stains without damaging the
wood’s cell structure. It will not leave a bleached-out appearance.
Deck & Wood Cleaner Part 1 even washes away traces of past water
sealers from weather-beaten wood and unseen barriers (such as “mill
glaze” or excess surface wax) from new lumber, enabling correct
adhesion or penetration of protective finishes. Additionally, the
100% biodegradable, acid and chlorine-free solution is non-toxic to
surrounding vegetation.

RECOMMENDED USES
FOR EXTERIOR USE ONLY
Apply to prepare or restore exterior wood decks, patios, fencing,
exterior siding, outdoor furniture, boat docks, boardwalks, gazebos,
play sets and more. Removes the finish barriers from weathered
wood; dirt, mold, mildew, algae stains, weatherworn grey surfaces,
clear finishes and old sealers.
WOOD TYPES: Use on all types of South American hardwoods (Ipe,
Cumaru, Tigerwood), thermally modified softwoods, pressure-treated
lumber, plastic and wood composite materials, North American
hardwoods such as Hickory or Poplar. Basically any type of wood.
Note: When newer generation pressure-treated wood (non-CCA) is
installed, it may develop mildew during the first few months. In order
to reduce and prevent mildew discoloration let the wood weather for
1-3 months prior to applying a protective finish.
PRODUCT APPLICATION
Coverage:
When Cleaner is combined with water, 1 jar of concentrate will make
5 gallons of solution. This is enough to cover approximately 750 square
feet depending on lumber age and variety, surface porosity, and means
of application. One 1 gallon of solution will cover around 125-150
square feet.
Mixing:
Use in a well ventilated area and
ONLY as directed. DILUTE BEFORE
USE. Mix 1/3 cup powder per one
(1) gallon hot tap water. Solution
will foam and appear bright. Stir the
solution occasionally and wait for 5
minutes minutes for the powder to
dissolve. If you use cold water, a few
more minutes may be required. Once
powder is totally dissolved, solution is
ready to use. Use within 5 hours after
mixing. Never mix with any other
products.
Apply once outside temperature is
over 40°F. Be certain entire wooden
surface is dry and totally free of dirt,
dust and debris. In case the surface is
too hot to touch or in direct sunshine,
dampen with clean water to cool off.
Apply:
Pre-wet surface with fresh water.
Working on 20 sq. ft. at a time to
maintain optimum surface wetness,
apply solution and let sit and foam
for 10 minutes. If solution dries
prematurely, keep it wet with
additional solution as needed.
For horizontal wood surfaces, apply
the solution with a pump sprayer,
brush, mop, airless sprayer, or roller.
On any vertical surfaces, apply
cleaning solution using a pump
sprayer or even a deep-nap paint
roller, working from the bottom
upward to the top of the wooden
structure.
Applications:
Apply one 1 coat, and let sit to foam for recommended duration of 10
minutes. Heavily weathered, very dirty or soiled areas might need a
second scrubbing of solution.
