User Interface 2 x 3G/HD/SD‐SDI Outputs Colour LCD is used to display the current active test pattern and the current menu. Menu Window Parameter Window The ENTER button will select the current MENU or toggle parameters. The BACK button will leave the current SUB‐MENU. Pressing the > button will move the cursor right. Main Menus Upon power up the unit will start in the Main Menu pointing to FORMAT. The Main Menus are FORMAT, PATTERN, AUDIO, TEXT and SETUP. Press the < and > buttons to move left or right through the menus. To enter into a menu press the ENTER button. Note 1, you can always return to the Main Menu by pressing the BACK button twice. Note 2, as you move through the menus changing parameters they will be instantly applied to the output signal.
PATTERN: (Has SUB‐MENU with parameter) This is the currently selected test pattern. When selected in the Menu Window, the PATTERN is displayed in the Parameter Window. When highlighted, press the ENTER button to enter this sub‐menu. Press the < and > buttons to move left or right through the 54 test patterns listed below and the BACK button to leave this SUB‐MENU. 1. SMPTE HD Bars 2. Bars 100/0/100/0 3. Bars 100/0/75/0 4. Bars 75/0/75/0 5. Bars 100% & Red 6. SMPTE EG 1 Bars 7. Path Equalizer & PLL 8.
AUDIO: (Has SUB‐MENUs) When highlighted in the Menu Window, press the ENTER button to enter this sub‐menu. Press the < and > buttons to move left or right respectively through the six menus below and press the BACK button to go back to the Main Menu when finished. 1. AUDIO/Selected Pair (Parameter) This is the currently selected stereo audio pair. When highlighted in the Menu Window, the Selected Pair is displayed in the Parameter Window.
6. AUDIO/Type (Parameter) This is the type of tone for current pair. When highlighted in the Menu Window, the Type is displayed in the Parameter Window. Press the ENTER button to toggle through the following types: a) Both Unbroken b) Broken Left c) Broken Right d) Both Broken TEXT: (Has SUB‐MENUs) When highlighted in the Menu Window, press the ENTER button to enter this sub‐menu.
SETUP: (Has SUB‐MENUs) When highlighted in the Menu Window, press the ENTER button to enter this sub‐menu. Press the < and > buttons to move left or right respectively through the three menus below and press the BACK button to go back to the Main Menu when finished. 1. SETUP/POWER OFF TIME (Has SUB‐MENU with parameter) This indicates how long the device will remain running on Batteries when left idle by the user, before entering low‐power mode.
