4.5 Tare and delete
In order to delete one of the saved values you press the 0-Button while the value is displayed.
The display now shows [0.000]. To delete all saved values at the same time press the 0-Button
for 2 seconds. The display returns to the initial screen [- . - - - ]
To start the next measurement press the I-button again.
5.0 Additional functions of FMI-S30
5.1 Memory and statistics
5.1.1 General considerations ot memory modes
Force gauge series FMI-S30 are able to capture and memorize measuring values (displayed
values) either as a sequence of single values (SINGLE) or as a continuously saved measuring
cycles (SERIES), which can be displayed with simple statistical functions (Max, Min, Average
and Standard Deviation) after the measurement is finished. For more comprehensive tests, to
display larger number of single values and or to utilize more delicate statistics the USB data-
transfer and the use of FMI_Connect (Part no.: FMI-972) to download the data into MSExcel is
recommended.
5.1.2 Set memory and statistics
To activate the memory function enter the setting menue by pressing the S-button for 2 se-
conds and select the submenue P2 with the I-button.

Enter the sub-submenue P21 by pressing the 0-button and select with the I-button the desired
memory function. (0=no memory; 1=save single values; 2=save measuring cycles) To leave
the setting menues press the S-button for 2 seconds. The display now shows the MEM symbol
to conrm that the memory is activated.
5.1.3 Select operation mode
Select the operation mode as described before.
The MEM symbol is now display additionally
and while writing values into the memory the
MEM symbol flashes.
