10.0 Warranty
10.1 Extended 5-Year-Warranty
We grant a 5 years limited warranty on all Alluris force gauges, starting with the date of sale,
provided that the instrument has been registered with us immediately after the purchase, and
that the maintenance and calibration intervals are observed. Consumption material, normal
wear and tear as well as damages caused by improper use are excluded from this warranty.
Besides, the warranties as agreed upon in our general terms and conditions shall apply
10.2 Product registration
In order to receive information about product changes and updates and to enjoy full warranty,
please register your product. The attached form should be sent to us immediately after taking
the device into operation for the first time.
11.0 Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – trouble shooting
In case of small forces the
display always falls back
to 0,000!
The automatic taring function compensate position (gravitation)
and temperature effects is switched on and causes the zero-point
drift being suppressed by the signal interpreting software. You can
turn this function off (see chapter 6.6).
The display shows num-
bers upside down!
The display direction changed automatically according to the po-
sition in the moment the instrument is switched on for test stand
application.
Display only in compres-
sive or tensile force direc-
tion!
Change the mode of operation using the S key. The actual force val-
ue, either tensile or compression force indicated only if the PEAK
symbol ashes or this symbol is not shown (see Chapter 4.2.)
Force values are depicted
with negative prex!
Depending on your usage you may set a negative prex either for
tensile forces (factory-side) or for compressive forces; see Chapter
6.2.
The depicted peak-value
is higher than the maxi-
mum value!
The maximum value equals the average value of the last taken
single values, whereas the amount of single values depends on
the set display update time. The peak value, in contrast, is the
absolute highest value measured
Does the instrument work
also after a being stored
in the dark for a longer
period?
Yes. Even after a self discharging of the internal energy storage
the instrument can be used immediately. A back-up battery saves
guaranties the basic function of the device; see chap. 2.3.
RS-232C communication
is disturbed!
Check the connection cable`s wiring and the compliance of wiring
with input terminals of the PC-card.
The display shows
“OvErL“!
Remove the excessive load immediately and check the instru-
ment. If the indicated measuring values are obviously untrue the
load cell has to be changed by the manufacturer.
