8.0 Application with test stands
The rugged aluminium dye cast housing of the force gauges series FMI-S enables applications
on a test stand. 4 tap holes at the rear of the housing can take up fixing screws with metrical
threads.
Please pay attention on that force effects – both compressive and tensile forces – are carried
out perpendicularly to the measuring axle. To aligne the instrument properly there are 3 holes,
2 for locating pins D=3 L=3 and one for D=8 L=8. There are 2 threaded holes M4 L=6 and 2 M5
L=8 to attach the instrument firmly to the stand. Please consider the tap hole depth of 6mm,
when choosing the screws.
Dimensional drawings and 3D-CAD-models are to be found on our website www.alluris.de.
Manually operated or motorized test stands for precise linear strokes allows tensile and com-
pression tests with a much better reproducibility. These test stands are a usefull additions to
the force gauge. With integrated force test systems it’s much easier to capture the reliability
of matirial junctions, the tactile behaviour of control elements, the stickiness of tapes or the
tensile force of packing foils etc. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more comprehensive
application advise. Product information for test stand and entire force test systems can also
be found on our website www.alluris.de.
