7.2 Device interface (Hirose socket)
Beside the USB 2.0 interface the force gauges series FMI-S30 has an additional device port
für various extension options and service function. For the device port an optional cable is
available to utilize the full scope of the measuring instrument in various applications.
7.2.1 Output (opto-coupler) for overload and threshold signal
The overload signal and the signal of the threshold comparator function are not only indicated
on the LCD display but also available at the device port. In order to utilize this signals for exter-
nal controls or indicators an optional cable with integrated opto coupler (Part.no.: FMI-9S10;
delivery estimated 4Q.2013) is available.
7.2.2 Analogue output with D/A-converter
The actual display values can be converted into an analogue signal (-1VDC...+1VDC). for this
application the optional data transfer cable with integrated D/A-converter is needed. (Part.
no.: FMI-9S11; delivery estimated 4Q.2013).
7.2.3 Digimatic output for printer and data
The device interface can generate data for Digimatic-Protocol (Mitutoyo) also. To utilize the
Digimatic output protocol the optional Digimatic-Data-Cable (Part.no.: FMI-9S12; delivery esti-
mated 4Q.2013) is needed.
7.2.4 RS 232C Interface
In order to utilize specific software based on the data code of older Alluris force gauges series
FMI-200/210/220/250/400 te optional RS232C data cable is available (Part no. FMI-9S13; de-
livery estimated 2Q.2013).
