6.6 Auto-Tare function (P16)
The force gauge FMI-S tares automatically with start of each measurement in order to eliminate
any influences of the actual position weight of attachments or any temperature drift. In some
cases it might be useful to deactivate this functionality by pressing the I-Button to Select 0=
AutoTare OFF. Pressing the 0-Button you change to the next submenu.

6.7 Reset factory defaults (P01)
To return to the originally works defaults select the setting menue P0. Press the 0-Button, the
display shows P01 and a flashing 0. Press now the I-Button, until “1” is flashing. Confirm by
pressing the S-Button that all changed setting should be resetted to the original defaults. The
display shows now rESEt. To reconfirm that the µProcessor is resetted. Leave the setting mode
with a long press of the S-Button.

7.0 Interfaces (FMI-S30 only)
The force gauges series FMI-S30 are able to transfer measuring data, results and overload or
threshold signals via USB (2.0) or Hirose data cable into a PC or motorized test stand.
7.1 Data transfer with USB (Software FMI_Connect)
In order to set up a communication via USB between the measurind device and a host PC an
USB cable (Part no.: FMI-931USB) and the optional available software FMI_Connect (Part.No.:
FMI-972) is needed. The software is a Add-On for MsExcel and allows to stream data and to
generate diagrams.
The software and the approbiate USB drivers should be installed before the force gauge is
connected for the first time to the PC ore notebooc via USB cable.
