FavLayer – Favourite Layer on a Hybrid Disc
Hybrid discs have two layers – an SACD layer and a CD layer. If you are
playing a hybrid disc, this menu setting allows you to choose which layer is
played automatically.
do this: Open the Menu and step through until the display shows FavLayer.
do this: Press the
Select button once and the display will show SACD.
do this: Press the
Select button again and the display will change to CD.
do this: Repeat this if you want to change back.
Most users will set this to SACD.

SessTime – Session Time Out Setting
When playing a hybrid disc, you can over-ride the FavLayer setting temporarily
by pressing the SACD/CD button on the Remote Control. The FavLayer setting
is restored next time you power up the unit, or at the end of the session time set
by this menu.
do this: Open the Menu and step through until the display shows SessTime.
do this: Press the
Select button repeatedly and the display will cycle through 0, 1 hour,
2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours, 30 mins, etc.
do this: Choose the setting you want and wait for the Menu to timeout.

Easy Play – Automatic Source Selection
The Easy Play system automatically selects the active source in your system.
There are 3 options:
Normal La Scala selects the 1394 input on the DAC. This is
the usual setting.
Verdi La Scala operates in the same way as a standard
Verdi. The DAC will select the 1394 input if La
Scala is playing an SACD, and select the active
PCM input if La Scala is playing a CD.
Off All source selection must be done manually.
Choose this setting if you have several digital
sources connected to your DAC.
do this: Open the Menu and step through until the display shows EasyPlay.
do this: Press the
Select button repeatedly and the display cycles through the three
options. Stop when you reach the option you want.
