Quick Set-Up Guide – dCS Verdi with dCS Elgar Plus

This sheet guides you through setting up Verdi and Elgar Plus to play CDs and
SACDs, with Elgar Plus. This applies from software issues: Verdi v1.2x and
Elgar Plus v4.2x.
Basic Set-Up
do this: Connect power cables to all units, press the Power buttons. Connect up as
shown below.
The first time you use this set-up, run these reset routines:
do this: For Verdi, press the Menu button on the front panel, then press the ←

button repeatedly until the display shows Factory – press the Menu button.
Wait 30 seconds for the unit to settle down.
do this: For Elgar Plus, hold down the Display button on the front panel, press the
Volume/Balance button and release. Press the Display button repeatedly until
the display shows Factory – press the Volume/Balance button. Wait 60
seconds for the unit to settle down.

do this: Once the set-up is complete, load a disc, press the Play button and adjust
Elgar’s Volume control.
The system will automatically select the CD data if you are playing a CD (Elgar
displays 16/44.1) or the SACD data if you are playing an SACD / hybrid disc
(Elgar displays Verdi).
That is all you need to do, except - enjoy the music!
