The red LED displays printer operating status and this check is
performed “on-line”. Table 1 lists operating statuses and the LED signals connected
to them:
LED Status Description
Always off Printer off
Always on Printer on - no fault with
batteries recharing
very slow blinking
(one blink every three seconds)
Printer on - no fault with
batteries recharing
slow blinking
(one blink every second)
Paper out message
fast blinking
(one blink every half second)
Resettable error (heat overheating,
battery voltage error)
Very fast blinking
(seven blinks per second)
