Application & Operation
9 Volt Battery Power & Battery Tester
The CT2 requires power from a standard 9V battery for operation (battery not included). You can check battery performance by
simply selecting the rotary selector fully clockwise to the ‘Battery Check’ position. If the LED indicator illuminates you battery
has tested OK. If the LED fails to illuminate your battery is drained of power and requires replacement.
Warning: Do not connect cables with PHANTOM POWER already present or any kind of power passing through them
The unit could be damaged and will not be covered by Warranty
Battery Replacement
There is a battery compartment housed within the CT2 with access provided through a removable compartment cover.
Simply remove the battery compartment cover to gain access to the battery compartment for battery installation, or
replacement of drained batteries.
General Operation Procedure
The basic operation guide for testing cables is to connect one end of your cable to the left hand side connector sockets
of the CT2, and the other end of your cable to the right hand side of the CT2. Depending on how many pin to -> pin cable
connections are housed within your currently connected cable, simply turn the rotary dial through each position and take note
of the LED indicators status (on/off). If the selected pin to -> pin connection is OK, the paired LED’s for the appropriate
selection will be illuminated. A failed connection status can be observed by taking note of non illuminated pairs.
For single pin 1 to ->1 connections there are two (2) banana connections on the front panel permanently wired as a continuity
tester with LED and beeper indicators, simply connect each end of your single pin cable to indicate operational status with an
illuminated LED and status beep.
