2) Before removing the cables from the battery, remember which

cable is connected to the positive terminal (+) and which cable

is connected to the negative (-) terminal; Clean cable

connectors with wire brush or sandpaper to remove oxidation;

3) Take out the old battery and replace it with new battery;

4) Put dielectric grease on the battery terminals to avoid corrosion;

5) Connect cables to the proper terminals: positive cable to positive

terminal, and negative cable to negative terminal;

Note : Positive (+) cable is red and larger in diameter; Negative y cable is black and smaller of the two in

diameter.

CONNECT NEGATIVE CABLE LAST.

6) Torque terminal bolts to 40 in. / lbs;

7) Place rubber pad on battery tray; securely fasten battery to the vehicle by using tie rod.

Position of battery pressure plate
