DOWNLOADING DATA TO PC

Using special linking hardware and a unique PC software program, data from

your dives can be downloaded (copied) from your 500AI into an IBM compat-

ible PC program running on a Windows

95 or 98 operating system. Instruc-

tions for performing the interface and download are provided with the Dive

Downloader for 500AI hardware and software package. The Dive Downloader

program provides profile data sampled throughout the dive.

To access the External Access (EA) Mode:

• press both buttons simultaneously while in Surface Mode

• press the Advance (Left) button 6 times

• the letters EA appear, flashing (Fig. 61)

• press the Advance (Left) button to revert to Surface Mode, or -

• press the Select (Right) button to initiate download

• the unit will automatically revert to Surface Mode after download is com-

plete, or in 2 minutes if no button is pressed

• the backlight will not operate while in EA Mode
