Upgrade MSDE Database to Microsoft SQL 2005 Express
It is critical that each step in this procedure be followed completely. The check-marks must be set exactly
as specified in this procedure.
1. In the splash screen click on ‘Start Upgrade SQL Express.’
2. In the License Agreement screen check-mark the ‘I accept the licensing terms and conditions box’
then click on Next.
3. In the Installing Prerequisites dialog box click on Install. When the program has finished updating the
required SQL server setup files click Next.
4. In the Microsoft SQL Server Installation Wizard screen click Next.
