Required Microsoft Windows Components
If any of the Windows components required for eManager are not present when the installation is started
the system will prompt you to install the missing component. These components are not normally a part of
default Windows installations. Installation of these components may require the Windows operating system
CD-ROM.
eManager requires Internet Explorer (IE) version 6.0 or higher. Most Windows XP SP2 installations include
IE 6.0. Verify the version installed on your system and upgrade if needed.
Microsoft Windows Internet Information Services (IIS)
Install Components for Windows XP Professional
Use the Windows XP Professional CD_ROM to install IIS and Management and Monitoring Tools Add-on
Components.
1. Select Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs, then click on Add/Remove
Windows Components.
2. Check-mark Internet Information Services (IIS). Click Next.
3. Ensure that Internet Information Services Snap-In is check-marked. Click OK.
4. Select Management and Monitor Tools Details. Ensure that Simple Network Management Protocol and
WMI SNMP Provider are check-marked. Click OK.
Install Components for Windows Vista Business Edition
1. On the Control Panel > Programs and Features page select Turn Windows feature on or off. Click Turn
Windows Features on or off.
