Custom Telephone Label Definition File
The Telephone Label Definition file is, as the name implies, the file containing the definition of the labels
that are printed for each key.
In Figure 2-5 a portion of the Default definition file is shown. Column E is the definition for the eight key
IPT2008 telephone. If a key is programmed as a Do Not Disturb key eManager will output code 180.
Looking across line 13 to Column E the definition is DND. When the keystrip for that station is printed the
key programmed as Do Not Disturb will be labeled DND. If a customer wanted these keys to be labeled In
Meeting or Out of Office, the definition could be changed.
Make a Custom Definition File
1. Download the Default Label Definition file from the Toshiba FYI web-site. Rename the file when saving
it to the PC that will be used to download the Keystrip Data in eManager.
2. Find the column that defines the telephone station type you wish to modify.
3. Find the line that defines the feature you want to change.
4. Type the new definition into that cell.
5. Save the file.
6. When the keystrip data is downloaded select this new definition file when eManager prompts.
