15.8 REGULATORY INFORMATION
15.8.1 DT-6061 STAND-ALONE

To maintain compliance with the above-mentioned EMC standards, shielded cables must be used
on all DT-6061 interface connections and the shields must make an electrical connection to the
DT-6061's grounding system.
15.8.2 FCC PART 68 INFORMATION
The DT-6061 complies with FCC Part 68 of the FCC rules. On the bottom of the DT-6061 is a
label that contains, among other information, the FCC registration number for the DT-6061. If
requested, this information must be provided to the Telephone Company.
There is a single RJ45 style jack *** (labeled DSU)*** located on the front of the DT-6061 that has
been tested as part of the registration process to FCC Part 68.
An FCC compliant modular jack is provided with the DT-6061. This jack is designed to be
connected to the telephone network or premises wiring using a compatible modular plug, which is
Part 68 compliant.
If the DT-6061 causes harm to the telephone network, the Telephone Company will notify you in
advance that temporary discontinuance of service may be required. But if advance notice is not
practical, the Telephone Company will notify you as soon as possible. Also, you will be advised
of your right to file a complaint with the FCC if you believe it is necessary.
The Telephone Company may make changes in its facilities, equipment, operations or
procedures that could affect the operation of the DT-6061. If this happens the Telephone
Company will provide advance notice in order for you to make necessary modifications to
maintain uninterrupted service.
If trouble is experienced please refer to the warranty section of this user’s manual.
No repairs can be performed by you that go beyond the scope of the troubleshooting section of
this user’s manual.
15.8.3 INDUSTRY CANADA CS03 CERTIFICATION INFORMATION
NOTICE: The Industry Canada label identifies certified equipment. This certification means that
the equipment meets the telecommunications network protective, operational and safety
requirements as prescribed in the appropriate Terminal Equipment Technical Requirements
document(s). The Department does not guarantee the equipment will operate to the user’s
satisfaction.
Before installing this equipment, users should ensure that it is permissible to be connected to the
facilities of the local Telecommunications Company. The customer should be aware that
compliance with the above conditions might not prevent degradation of service in some
situations.
