QUIPMENT
Unpack and inspect the DT-6061 unit and other components and have on hand a #2 Phillips and
medium-sized Flathead screwdriver.
3.1.1 POWER RECONFIGURATION STEPS FOR 115V AC (-5V DC) OR –48V DC OPERATION
The DT-6061 is powered through either of two interfaces: –48V DC or –5V DC input. The
interface used is determined by an option set at the factory that can be changed by the customer.
Typically, the –5V DC interface is used when a customer uses an 115/240V AC to –5V DC power
supply. The reseller of this product has tried to insure that the DT-6061 has been optioned at the
factory for the power interface you need for your configuration.
Figure 4: Power Strap Option
After attaching power to the DT-6061, and the power light does not illuminate, to reconfigure the
power input option, perform the following steps using the figure above as reference:
Disconnect any power connectors to the Unit.
Unscrew and remove the Unit cover exposing the top portion of the system board.
With the face of the DT-6061 facing front, locate the jumper connector (JP2). Move, if
needed, the jumper to the 5V setting for the AC to DC converter power supply input or to the
48V setting for direct 48V DC power input. (Refer to the figure.)
Replace the Unit cover and its associated screws, and reconnect the power.
Verify the power light is lit.
