This is the female 25 pin type “D” located on the rear panel of the printer. The communi-
cation protocol is the standard Centronics and the port is currently only mono direction
(communication with data only on input at the port). The connection cable for a PC is not
a standard cable and can be purchased from DATAPROCESS EUROPE with Article code
L50500010

23.3 Industrial Interface – only for ST4xx ST5xx
The ST4xx and St5xx series of printers is equipped with an “industrial” interface which
can be used to connect the printers or applicators to an external environment with input
and output signals. The input and output have distinct connectors. The connectors are lo-
cated on the rear panel and have "D" 9 pin male for the “output” and "D" 9 pin female
for the “input”.
23.3.1 Output (relè) "D" 9 pin male
The signals available for the external devices are READY and SYNC. The signals are
supplied by open or closed contacts.
