Preventive Maintenance
Datamax-O’Neil recommends regularly scheduled maintenance to keep
your printer operating reliably with uninterrupted service.
To be safe, Datamax-O’Neil recommends cleaning your printer using
Compact4 Mark II cleaning cloths as instructed in the user’s guide
between every roll change.
Reference the graphs below to match your usage and print method
(direct thermal or thermal transfer) to determine how often you should
be cleaning your printhead.

Limited Warranty Statement
Datamax-O’Neil warrants to the Purchaser that under normal use and service the Compact4 Mark II and Compact4
Mobile printers (with the exception of the thermal printhead and platen roller) purchased hereunder shall be free from
defects in material and workmanship for a period of twelve months from the date of shipment from Datamax-O’Neil or
1 million linear inches of use, whichever comes first.
1 year factory warranty covers parts, labor, and return shipment.

Expendable and/or consumable items or parts (such as lamps, fuses, labels and ribbons) are not covered under this
warranty. This warranty does not cover equipment or parts, which have been misused, altered, neglected, handled
carelessly, or used for purposes other than those for which they were manufactured. This warranty also does not
cover loss, damages resulting from accident, or damages resulting from unauthorized service.
