MP Design – Label Design

MP Design is a powerful label design software which programs label formats in the Compact4 Mark II printers’

native command language, Labelpoint. MP Design is included at no charge with every printer and is also available

to be downloaded at www.datamax-oneil.com.

MP Design allows the user to create standardized label formats and optimize printing without learning the

Labelpoint language.

TeraTerm – Terminal Printer Congurator

TeraTerm is an easy to use DOS terminal program for conﬁguring the Compact4 Mark II printers. It gives you access

to the printer’s internal setup menu where all necessary parameters can be set, e.g., port and network settings, print

and label settings. TeraTerm is ideal when working in operating systems that do not support Windows applications.

Labelpoint and DPL (Datamax Programming language) are simple yet powerful command languages that control the

Compact4 Mark II printers.

Web Browser Conguration

An HTML conﬁguration menu resides in the printer and can be accessed using an HTML browser. Once all the

network information in the printer has been set, the conﬁguration menu can be accessed by entering the printer’s IP

address on a web browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape. The menu allows the user to view and change the

printer’s conﬁguration parameters.

Printer Firmware

The ﬁrmware controls how the printer operates and reacts to commands. Development updates are always being

made to improve performance and enhance or add features. These updates are posted at www.datamax-oneil.com

and available for download and loading to your printer.
