Windows OS Drivers

The latest Windows OS drivers for the Compact4 Mark II are available at www.datamax-oneil.com for download

and installation on your computer. These drivers enable the user to print to a Compact4 Mark II printer from any

Windows application that supports printing. The drivers have to be added to the operating system and selected via

the software application.

Com API – Development Tools

The Compact4 Mark II printers have Communication Application Program Interface (Com API) that provides a simple

interface between an application and the printers and terminals. Support ﬁles are available for software programmers

to make it easy for them to interface with the printer. The Com API support ﬁles can be downloaded from the

Datamax-O’Neil web site at www.datamax-oneil.com.

NetCenter – Networked Printer Manager

NetCenter is the perfect software tool

for ﬁnding and managing the Compact4

Mark II printers connected to the same

local area network (LAN). All printers are

automatically detected and listed in the

intuitive graphical user interface.

The list shows network settings, ﬁrmware

version, serial number and current status

for each printer, making it easy to see

which printers are online and ready, when

paper or ribbon needs to be changed,

when to conﬁgure printer network settings

and when to manage ﬁrmware upgrades.

NetCenter also provides easy access to each printer using the most common network protocols saving network

administrators time and effort.
