Small and Mighty
Small Footprint
The Compact4 Mark II printers have an incredibly small footprint which allows
them to be used in applications where space is limited. Their compact size
takes up less than half the space of a traditional desktop label printer but with
the same duty cycle and strength.
Orientation Options
The Compact4 Mobile Mark II printers can be used in almost any orientation.
The design of the printer and special mounting plates allow the printer to be
used in its normal upright position, mounted vertically on the wall, or even
mounted upside down. Multiple mounting options allow for greater flexibility
when space limitations are a consideration.
Full Communications Suite
Each Compact4 Mark II printer includes a serial, USB, ethernet wired LAN
and optional W-LAN 802.11b/g connection. These ports are included in the
standard configuration at no additional cost - even the Ethernet port, which
usually carries a premium charge, is included as a standard feature. And if
parallel communication is required, all that’s needed is an optional accessory
cable (available from Datamax-O’Neil).
Complete Software Suite
The Compact4 Mark II printers come with a complete set of software to
support development, configuration, network management, label design, DOS management, and Windows
printing. Refer to the software section for further details.
Com API – Supports software development by providing the proper interface to simplify printing operations.
MP Design – Easy to use native label design tool that generates labels in the printer’s native command
language.
NetCenter – Networked printer management software for easy visual management of the printers.
Tera Term – DOS-based terminal program allows easy direct access to printer configuration menus.
Drivers – Windows OS drivers support printing from Windows applications.
Web Browser Conguration – Printers can be configured by using a standard internet browser to access
the printer’s onboard configuration page.
