The basic design consists of a locking spindle that securely holds the media in
place and a print mechanism with a slotted paper path. The media is loaded
into the paper path slot and secured with the roll guide and release lever.
The front and top covers are used to access the print roller for cleaning and
maintenance. A status lamp indicates the current status of the printer - a red
light indicates the printer is not ready for use and green indicates the printer is
ready. The print button is used to feed media as well as print.
The communication ports allow the printer to be connected to a host via cable
to communicate status and receive print data. Power connect comes in two
forms: 110-230VAC (Compact4 Mark II) or 24-48VDC (Compact4 Mobile Mark
II). Power is turned on and off using the power switch.
The following features are available on the Compact4 Mobile Mark II only: metal
roll guide, locking handle, anti-spin media spool to keep the roll from unwinding
during extreme vibration, DC ready power connection, lock plate, and a bottom
plate with locking clip for quick removal.
