Windows OS Drivers

The latest Windows OS drivers for the Compact4 are available at www.datamaxcorp.com for download

and installation on your computer. These drivers enable the user to print to a Compact4 printer from any

Windows application that supports printing. The drivers have to be added to the operating system and

selected via the software application.

Com API – Development Tools

The Compact4 printers have Communication Application Program Interface (Com API) that provides a

simple interface between an application and the printers and terminals. Support files are available for

software programmers to make it easy for them to interface with the printer. The Com API support files

can be downloaded from the Datamax web site at www.datamaxcorp.com.

NetCenter – Networked Printer Manager

NetCenter is the perfect software

tool for finding and managing the

Compact4 printers connected to the

same local area network (LAN). All

printers are automatically detected

and listed in the intuitive graphical

user interface.

The list shows network settings,

firmware version, serial number and

current status for each printer,

making it easy to see which printers

are online and ready, when paper

or ribbon needs to be changed, when to configure printer network settings and when to manage firmware

upgrades. NetCenter also provides easy access to each printer using the most common network

protocols saving network administrators time and effort.
