2.2.2 Turn OFF the reader

After a period of non-use the device goes automatically in “pause mode”, which means the backlight

of the display turns down, the screen is “frozen” and the keyboard is disabled. In order to “unlock” your

reader, please press the button.

In order to manually switch off the reader, keep pushing the button for about 2 seconds or

select the Shutdown function in the main menu. The reader has also an automatic shutdown function

activated after a period of non-use.

2.3 Read a transponder

In order to start with a reading session you must be sure that the LAB MAX III reader is turned on, if

not you should proceed with the step 2.2.1.

The button has to be pressed in order to start with the reading session, as shown in the

following picture:

Place the animal over the reader and wait for the reading result, which can have followings results:
