1.4 INSTALLING STAR-Link™
Once the CD-ROM is inserted, launch the Windows software STAR-Link™ x.xx.exe
for WIN 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP where "x.xx" corresponds to the software release.
Then, click the Setup button from the opening window.
The following folders will be installed:

Since the STAR-Link™ packet provides an ActiveX component that is registered in
Operating System Registry, you must have administrator rights
to successfully
complete the installation in Windows NT, Windows 2000, or Windows XP.
1.5 FILES NECESSARY TO USE STAR-LINK™
Two files are necessary to use STAR-Link™:
RFNCLI32.dll
NRFCCTL.dll
where the first one is the network manager working directly with the serial port
communication, while the second one is the ActiveX .dll.
NRFCCTL.dll is a COM component developed through ActiveX Template Library
(ATL) using the Microsoft Visual C++ language.
NOTE
You must have administrator rigths
to use STAR-Link™ examples
and to develop new applications in Windows XP environments.
